richard retires!

On August 29, 2005, Richard finally retired (or so he says!).

He enjoyed a lovely party in Sacramento (MS Word - invitation) with most of his family, friends, and recent colleagues present. Moya, Leanne, and Lucy couldn't be there (it was Lucy's very _first_ birthday!) but sent along this sentiment, which Robert read at the party.

His colleagues put together this incredible presentation (MS PowerPoint - 6MB). Some great pictures in here chronicle some of the proudest moments of his recent career.

Congratulations Richard, and all of your children and children's children look forward to you 'meddling' in our lives!
